About

The accordion on the concert platform is undergoing a renaissance and with scintillating performers like Ryan Corbett it is easy to see why. Current member of the prestigious BBC Radio 3 New Generation Artists scheme, he relishes the versatility and vast colour palette of his instrument, and his arrangements of music from the baroque to the present day are inspiring new devotees.

From Bach's profound variations to Scarlatti's delightful keyboard sonatas, an evocative sound picture from a Czech film composer and helter-skelter showpieces from the 19th and 20th centuries, he draws a lightness of touch and weighty grandeur from a fascinatingly wide-ranging recital programme.
