Visit Essex's hidden treasure house and explore life above and below stairs at this decadent mansion. Explore the impressive house and uncover the story behind the Braybrooke's unique natural history collection.Great houses need an army of staff to keep everything running smoothly, and you can meet Audley's in the Victorian Service Wing and nursery. See them at work every weekend May-September.

Say hello to our resident horses in the stable block and take a visit to the Organic Kitchen Garden as you discover over 120 varieties of apples, 40 types of pears, 60 kinds of tomatoes plus many more fruits and vegetables.

With parterre gardens, 'Capability' Brown landscaped parkland, a children's play area, café and shop, make it a day out for all the family at Audley End House & Gardens.

Advance booking essential. If you’re an English Heritage Member, your ticket will be free, but you still need to book in advance. There are other new steps in place to ensure everyone’s safety, so your visit will be a little different. Please check our website for more details.

Cambridge Lodge, Saffron WaldenOverlooking a private formal garden, Cambridge Lodge is an elegant two storey Victorian gatehouse located at the exit gates of Audley End overlooking the cricket pitch. It was built in 1842 and is the perfect place to relax all year round.

Hadleigh Castle, BenfleetThe impressive remains of a mighty fortress constructed over seven centuries ago; overlooking the Essex Marshes, the barbican and two towers remain standing today.
