About
The Beauty of the August sky.
A "planetarium" show taking the audience through the highlights of the August sky so that they can take advantage of the wonderful dark skies (and warm nights) looking East across the North Sea. As the sun sets, we will see the stellar highway of the Milky Way and the planet Saturn rising in the South-East. This talk will take you on a journey through the night, picking out highlights such as the moons of Jupiter, the rings of Saturn, and key stars such as Vega, Polaris, Rigel and Betelgeuse. On the way, we'll talk about the birth, life and death of stars by taking a look at the Orion nebula and the Pleiades.
