About
Crouch Ridge Vineyard is planted on gentle south facing slopes overlooking Althorne Creek and the River Crouch. The long hours of sunshine and relatively low rainfall in the area make it an ideal location for growing vines and making top quality award wining single variety still and sparkling wines.

The vineyard was planted in 2010, with classic cool climate grape varieties. Our aim is to grow vines and produce fine wines and combine it with good, local food and a lovely place to sit and relax with friends and family overlooking the local countryside, vineyard and river.
Crouch Ridge welcomes visitors to our beautiful vineyard, and tasting room which opened tin 2019 to customer to try our wines, or stay and relax with food and wine. Throughout the year we host a number of events, tours and tasting; dates and times are added to the website.
We also offer private tours and tastings or afternoon tea by appointment. Contact the vineyard for further details and to make a booking.

By car:From South Woodham Ferrers, follow the B1010 through North Fambridge and Althorne, once in Althorne, pass the War memorial at Station Road and the vineyard is just on the right.From Maldon, head to Latchingdon, and then to Althorne, once in Althorne follow the road until you get to a T junction opposite Ford’s garage. Turn left and follow the B1010, go past St Andrews church, and the vineyard is on the left. By public transport:The vineyard is a 7 minute walk from Althorne station, which is on the Wickford to Southminster Greater Anglia line that is connected to the Southend Victoria to Liverpool Street line, it is just over 1 hour from Liverpool Street station.The nearest railway station is Althorne, which is 0.5 miles away.
