Leigh-on-Sea is a town full of unique character and charm, neighbouring the well-known Southend-on-Sea. It is well worth a visit with plenty of attractions and eateries to keep you entertained. With galleries and craft shops, a selection of pubs, excellent fish restaurants and the famous cockle sheds, this picturesque town is the perfect place for you to unwind and take in the fresh sea air.
Wander around the thriving high street, browse the photographic display at Leigh Heritage Centre and enjoy a walk around Belfairs Park and Nature Reserve.
Don't forget to head down to Old Leigh for a stroll along the cobbled streets of this once busy fishing port. Take your pick from the selection of pubs and fish restaurants or stop at the authentic cockle sheds for a bite to eat. Gaze at the idyllic sea view and watch the sailors and kayakers go by on the water.
