Are you an Icon of Essex?

We’re kicking off 2025 with the launch of our Staycations campaign, and we’d love for all our Visit Essex members to get involved. To prepare for the launch, we’ll be running an online survey encouraging the people of Essex to vote for their favourite #IconsofEssex. We want to hear firsthand from locals which businesses, destinations, landmarks and more deserve icon status from Visit Essex.

Please encourage your followers to vote for you as their icon by spreading the word on your digital channels. By voting, residents will be entered in a prize draw to win a £25 shopping voucher. The survey will go live on Wednesday 15th January and will run until Wednesday 5th February.

We will launch the results as part of our Staycations campaign in late February - encouraging visitors far and wide to take the advice of the locals, and discover one or more of our icons on their next staycation to Essex. This campaign will build on the success of our #MakeItEssex and #EssexDay campaigns last year.
