Cressing Temple Barns is a historic and prestigious site, making it an ideal place to hold your event. With optional exclusive use of our venue, you have the flexibility to create your perfect event. You can choose from the Barley Barn, the Wheat Barn, the beautiful Tudor Walled Gardens or our smaller atmospheric areas such as The Granary or The Court Hall to host your event. Our on-site caterers – Tiptree Barn’s Tearoom can provide a variety of options for delegates including breakfast sandwiches, buffets,scones and refreshments.

Visitor Centre Conference Room
A modern, well appointed room which can accommodate up to 50 delegates seated theatre style, 20 board room style and 40 seated café style. The room also includes induction loop facilities, laptop and projector.

The Oak Room
Located on the ground floor of the 17th century Farmhouse. It is ideal for interviews or small meetings or as a break out room from the main conference room. Accommodates up to 20 theatre style or 12 board room.

The Barley Barn
Built in 1200, the "cathedral of barns" provides a spectacular backdrop to any event. The space is capable of holding more than 300 seated, but its aisled structure also lends itself to a more intimate event. The barn is fitted with spot lights to highlight the intricacy of the roof timbers.

The Martin Room
This modern meeting room is located in the Farmhouse. Seats 10 boardroom style or up to 20 theatre style.

The Wheat Barn
This barn was built in 1250 and is the least altered of the two barns. In one half of the barn is an exhibition centred around a huge platform bringing you closer to the timbers The barn can hold up to 110 peopled seated.

      Cressing Temple is situated on the main road between Braintree and Witham on the B1018, just a few minutes drive away from Freeport Designer Outlet Village. There is a hard standing car park with disabled bays.
