Marks Tey Hotel business facilities include 2 large spaious event suites which can accommodate up to 200 delegates in a theatre style layout or cabaret style for 96.

The upstairs Balkan Suite, with accessible lift, benefits from controllable air-conditioning and lots of natural daylight which means delegates will be kept alert throughout the event and objective are therefore met.

There is also a large spacious foyer, ideal for registration and an informal refreshements area plus adjacent private rest room facilities making this whole area self-contained.

The Claudius Suite is located on the ground floor, adjacent to the restaurant and very close to reception so there's always someone nearby onhand to assist with any queries.

The completion of the new Orangery is well underway and once this room is complete, guests will be able to enjoy afternoon tea within a botanical themed space, flooded with light from the extra large windows and stunning skylights above. The Orangery will be available for private hire for weddings and events and will gave it's own private bar. It is expected that this space will be able to accommodate 120 guests.

Road Directions

Travelling to the Hotel from London, exit the A12 at junction 25, signposted A120 Stansted. At the roundabout, take the third exit, head over the A12 and then at the next roundabout take the first exit onto the B1408 and the Hotel can be found just 350 yards on the left.

There is an additional large car park to the rear of the Hotel.

Marks Tey train station is a walkable 7 minutes away and provides access into London

Bus number 70 from Colchester/Chelmsford, passes along London Road and there's a stop just putside the Hotel
