Discover the Dengie with friends

Impress your friends with your culinary skills before making a splash at paddleboarding in Maldon. Have the hotel all to yourselves in Burnham-on-Crouch, before seal watching and wine tasting next day.

Day 1

Morning - Learn to cook in the grounds of Braxted Park country estate. With guidance from award-winning chefs at The Cookery School, impress your friends as you sample the fruits of your labour! Alternatively, begin your short break in Maldon. Wander through the quaint high street, admire the boats moored along the quay and breathe in the fresh air as you walk along the promenade. Be sure to pick up some world-famous Maldon Sea Salt or try a Maldon oyster while you are there!

Afternoon - Visit The Tiptree Tea Room at The View, Osea for elevated views of the Blackwater estuary and Northey Island.

Day 2

Morning - After a hearty breakfast make your way to Burnham-on-Crouch and embark on a boat trip to nearby Wallasea island.

Afternoon - Tuck into lunch at one of our vineyards, Crouch Ridge or Clayhill before taking a tour of the vines and wine tasting.
