Geocaching

Geocaching is a treasure hunting game, using Global Positioning Satellite (GPS) technology to find hidden 'caches' or boxes. By marrying the outdoor world with technology you can reap the benefits of this modern navigation method.

Geocaching can be themed to any subject or topic, it can be used as a team-building exercise, for challenges or as a simple way to keep your young ones entertained and to get them out in the open air.

Geocaching takes places at numerous venues throughout Essex, such as at the Country Parks and venues like the Martello Tower in Jaywick, the Naze Tower in Walton-on-the-Naze and many more.

World’s first art GeoTour

Take part in the world's first-ever art GeoTour. VisitEngland have created a new trail of cultural caches that allows you to discover seven new artworks along the South East coast of Essex, Kent, East and West Sussex. Hidden in, and around, outdoor artworks, galleries and coastal towns each cache has secret seaside-themed stories and rewards.
