About
Little Baddow is a small yet beautiful village that is bordered to the north by the Chelmer and Blackwater Navigation. Did you know that there is evidence which traces Little Baddow back to the Roman times!
If you are into walking and exploring the amazing countryside Essex has to offer, then you’ll love the walks in Little Baddow. Paper Mill Lock is an excellent place to go for a day of exploring – you can even grab a bite to eat at the tearoom by the car park - just be careful not to park on the road, as there are double-yellows and you may get a ticket.
You can walk along the river and enjoy views of the locks and barges that travel through. Boats are available for hire and you can even try your hand at paddle boarding. This is also a great spot for seeing wildlife, so keep an eye out.
There are a few great pubs in the village, a small history centre and places to walk including Heather Hills Nature Reserve and Holybred wood.
