About

"Autumn carries more gold in its pocket than all the other seasons." Albert Camus.

This photography workshop is all about capturing the glorious colours of autumn at Markshall Estate. We start by talking about light: angles, intensity and contrast; how to make the most of them and how – when appropriate – to control them. We will also look at compositional guides and the basic elements of design.

Twice during the day we'll spend time in the arboretum, where we'll visit some of the best locations and make the most of the gold – and other colours – from autumn's pocket. Here you'll be able to put what you've learnt into practice.

Numbers are limited to allow individual attention and one-to-one time during the day.

Tea, coffee and water is provided throughout the day. Bring your own lunch, or pre-order a packed lunch from the cafe.

Suitable for all abilities. Limited spaces, booking essential. This event will take place outdoors so wrap up warm.
