Festive Steam and Santa

About

We're stoked to announce our 'Festive Steam' days running on a Saturday & Sunday up to Christmas.

Having spent a difficult November with various restrictions, we are all looking forward to having some relaxed December days out!

Not only will there be steam rides, but Diesel too. Our locos will be pulling a mixture of carriages and wagons, so bring your hat & scarf just in case you choose the Wagon

And of course, our newly opened Miniature Railway, which has been relocated behind the Thompson Building will also be running: The new ride will take you from the Mini-rail Station Building, behind the Thompson Centre then back again past the station and into the trees, before returning to the station.

Your ticket will include a hot drink & Mince pie or carton on juice and festive treat for the younger ones, which will be served in our Victorian Goods Shed. Platform 2 cafe will still be open for drinks, snacks, cakes & light lunches. Sit & enjoy some food in our period static dining carriage.

In addition, you'll be able to wander in the Heritage Centre, let the little-ones loose in the playground and check out the working restoration shed.

Before you leave, you can visit Santa in the Booking Hall! Don't forget to add on a 'Present from Santa' when you book your tickets! (Santa will be in the booking office and will maintain a 2m distance at all times. The present will be placed on the counter by his helper for you or your child to pick up as they wave goodbye to him!)

On your way out you'll pass through the main shop, where you will find we have moved a lot of our 'Thomas' branded stock over from our secondary shop so you don't miss out on purcahsing those perfect Christmas presents.
