Key Workers Day – Sunday 4th July 2021

To say thank you to ALL key workers for their work and efforts throughout the pandemic the Moot Hall will be open for you and your families to visit for free on one of our guided tours between 10:30am and 4pm on Sunday 4th July.

Guided tours at 10am, 11:30, 1pm and 2;30

Each tour will include details of how the Moot Hall has stood at the centre of Maldon life for over 600 years. You will hear about Sir Robert D'Arcy who built the formally named D'Arcy Tower and see its later functions as a prison, court room and council chamber. Your tour will end on the roof where you can enjoy 360 degree views across Maldon town the blackwater estuary and surrounding countryside.

Advanced booking is recommended as spaces are limited. Some walk-in tickets may be possible on the day (subject to availability)

This event is funded and supported by Maldon Town Council and the Friends of the Moot Hall charitable trust.
Spaces limited to maintain social distancing. A face mask will be required.
