Visit The Hythe and the Little Ship Club to learn more about Maldon and Heybridge's fascinating maritime history. The Thames Sailing Barges Hydrogen and Thistle will be open for visitors, and there will be two talks at the Maldon Little Ship Club at 11:00 and 14:00. explaining the history of the Heritage Harbour and plans for its future. The Fisherman's Church, St Mary's, will be open for visitors.

Visitors can grab a map of the Heritage Harbour and explore the riverside, enjoying the communities, flora and fauna that it supports. Pay a visit to the beautiful statue of Maldon's famous Saxon hero Byrhtnoth, Ealdorman of Essex, who died fighting the Viking invaders at the Battle of Maldon.

Please note that access on to the barges is not possible for wheelchair users or those with limited mobility. There are steep steps up to the Little Ship Club meeting room.
