Steam Train

About

Join us this Summer as we celebrate re-opening with a relaxed, family session where we will be running steam rides, our recently opened new Miniature Railway & on some dates diesel rides too – all included in the entrance price!

We operate rides between 11am – 3pm, but the museum opens at 10am right through until 5pm during the Summer months
Summer is a great time to visit – the flowers are in full bloom, the weather is warm (hopefully) and we have plenty of open space for you to relax in.
Check out our working Restoration Shed, the magnificent Victorian Goods Shed, period Waiting Rooms & Signal Box as well as the Heritage Centre & Kids Playground
You'll have the chance to visit Platform 2 Cafe too – they're open from 10am – 5pm also and serve tasty breakfast, lunch & snack options, as well as 'bean to cup' coffee, tea & a range of cold beverages.
