A crowded goods shed at the East Anglian Railway Museum, lined with kegs of beer.

About

The much loved Chappel Beer Festival returns to the East anglian Railway Museum for September 2021.

Things will be different this year, we just have not had enough time to plan for the normal event, and development work at the Museum, delayed by the pandemic is reducing the area in which we can work. We are also still having to make the event Covid Safe. The event will be smaller than previous years, but we hope to still maintain the best bits and present that classic Chappel atmosphere.

Summary of the changes are:-

  -  Smaller Event. All beer & cider is in the Goods Shed

  -  Still over 100 beers plus 24 ciders & perrys

  -  No Bands or live music

  -  No designated campsite

  -  All admission will be by pre-purchase tickets

  -  One Way system for service at the bars

  -  No souvenir festival glass this year, we will use glasses from previous years (no glass deposits)

  -  Due to delayed development works we have no field and play area available for families.

Please note that we would prefer all payments on site to be by Contactless or Chip & Pin Card.
