George Harrison

About

Here comes the perfect tribute to a Beatles legend!

A musical icon who was part of arguably the biggest band of all time will be honoured and remembered with a special show taking place at Witham Public Hall on Friday 24th February 2023.

These talented musicians will be performing songs written and performed by the guitarist who found fame with The Beatles.

Alongside John Lennon, Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr, Harrison helped the band become the best-selling music act of all time with 600 million units shifted worldwide.

After the Liverpudlian four-piece called time on Beatlemania, the songwriter formed the Traveling Wilburys, a supergroup featuring Bob Dylan, Jeff Lynne, Roy Orbison and Tom Petty.

Harrison, who died in 2001, also enjoyed a successful solo career, releasing 12 studio albums, including the classic triple album All Things Must Pass, Living In The Material World, Cloud Nine and Brainwashed.

During the show, some of his most best-known tracks will be performed, including All Things Must Pass, While My Guitar Gently Weeps, Here Comes The Sun, Cheer Down, Taxman, My Sweet Lord, Got My Mind Set On You, and many more!

In 2022, the owners of Harrison's childhood home in Liverpool invited The George Harrison Project to visit the house and record some acoustic songs there.

Tickets for the 24th February performance at Witham Public Hall, which starts at 7.30pm, cost £18 and can be purchased by visiting www.withampublichall.co.uk.

What others say:
"The George Harrison Project played locally last night. The music was fab of course, but the way the whole show was put together highlighted just how much George Harrison contributed to the Beatles and to the world in his own right. The musicians in The George Harrison Project are hugely talented and by the end of the set they had everyone on their feet. We had a fab time and when they are down this way again we will be first in line for tickets. Thanks guys. It was fantastic!"

"What a toe tapping, hand clapping, jive inducing evening of great music! Well done The George Harrison Project!"

"Brilliant show, great nights entertainment!"

"A fitting tribute to a great musician"
