Celebrate Easter in Essex at Old Macdonald's Farm in Brentwood! From Saturday 5th to Monday 21st of April, the Easter Festival offers an array of fun activities for the whole family. Easter Trail at Cammas Hall Farm
Join the Easter Eggs-travaganza at Cammas Hall for a spring-themed adventure from the 5th -21st of April! Explore their woods on an egg-cellent trail, find hidden eggs, and solve seasonal clues. The Easter Bunny will be hopping about with sweet treats. A child ticket includes a game card, an egg-venture through the farm and bluebell woods, themed character encounters, access to the outdoor games area, photo opportunities, and a delicious seasonal treat prize. The trail takes around 30-40 minutes to complete. Don't miss out on this egg-stra special day! Pre-booking is essential via their website. Adult tickets are just £3.95, child tickets are £7.50.
Easter Special - Springtime On The Farm at Audley End Miniature Railway
Hoppity-hop on board the Easter Adventure Train at Audley End Miniature Railway this spring and help sheep detective Shearlock Holmes and the Easter Bunny crack the case of the missing eggs! Once you’ve solved the mystery and received your springtime souvenir, journey into the enchanting forest where you can plant your very own carrot seeds to take home, nurture and grow. Along the Fairy and Elf Walk, you’ll find woodland homes that have been decorated by mystical creatures. Don’t forget to catch the Stage Show which includes a lively storytelling by a mischievous fox! This event will be taking place from 5th – 21st April 2025. Tickets from £18.75 per adult and £9.40 per child (under 1’s and carers go free!).

Wildlife Weekend at Prittlewell Priory
Join Prittlewell Priory during the Easter holidays in Essex for their Wildlife Weekend (12th – 13th April 2025), a fun family event with animal handling, crafting, face painting, an activity trail, and more. This Easter, come down to the Priory for a spring celebration of all creatures great and small, and learn how to support local wildlife. The team from Exotic Explorers will bring furry, feathery, and even scaly friends for hands-on animal experiences! Have your face painted like your favourite animal, get creative with a critter craft to take home, visit stalls from local wildlife organisations to learn how we can care for the animals around us. Some cheeky creatures from the park have been causing mischief at the Priory, so make sure you help complete the scavenger hunt during your visit to solve their puzzle and win a prize! Under 3’s go free, with tickets priced at £7.75 per adults and £6.66 per child – pre-booking for this event is essential.
Good Friday Festival at Chelmsford City Racecourse
Join Chelmsford City Racecourse for their Good Friday Festival – their biggest and most valuable race day, with prize money worth £250,000! This event is perfect for families and friends and people of all ages, offering something for everyone to enjoy. Take part in some friendly competition with your friends in their expanded Game Zone, let the little ones be entertained in the Kids Zone, grab something to eat in the Food Village (double the size of last year’s!), and dance till you drop to music from the resident DJ. General admission is FREE for under-18’s (£20 for those 18 and over) – last year’s event sold out, so be sure to book your tickets quick!
Easter 2k Obstacle Run at Nuclear Races Wild Forest
Join Nuclear Races Wild Forest in Brentwood this spring and take part in their Easter 2k Obstacle Run on the 18th, 19th, and 21st of April for some cracking Easter fun for the whole family. Starting at 10:30 am, take on the 2K woodland obstacle run in a relaxed, fun vibe. Your designated instructor will provide top tips to conquer the obstacles – muddy feet are guaranteed, so dress appropriately! Test your balance skills with an egg and spoon race to the finish line. Don't forget to bring marshmallows to toast on the roaring fire pit, and each child will receive an Easter treat. (£24.00 per person plus booking fee).

Easter Afternoon Tea & Unlimited Easter Sunday Feast at Down Hall
Down Hall are hosting not one, but two Easter meals out in Essex this spring! If you have a sweet tooth, then the Easter Afternoon Tea (7th - 21st April 2025, £45 per adult, £22.50 per child) will be right up your street.
