Island Escape

Spend a couple of days enjoying Island life at Waldegraves Holiday Park, on Mersea Island. Choose a luxury static holiday home, camping or book a touring caravan pitch.  

Day 1 

Spend the day at the park where you can enjoy the outdoor heated swimming pool, fishing and boating lakes (bring your inflatables!), Crazy (and real) Golf, an indoor Games Room and Bar/Restaurant and supermarket and you can hire bikes at the Mersea Adventure Centre, on site.

Day 2

Cudmore Grove Country Park, East Mersea is right on the coast so has lovely views over the Colne and Blackwater Estuaries towards the port of Brightlingsea. Covering 102 acres, Cudmore is a nature reserve with a sandy beach, salt marsh, rolling grasslands and meadows buzzing with wildlife as well as having a themed kid’s play area. It's the perfect place to paddle and picnic, birdwatch, beachcomb and let imaginations run wild with friends and family.

Take the Brightlingsea Ferry across from here and spend a while or stay on the boat and do the circular trip, stopping at Point Clear along the way.
