Waldegraves Family Holiday Park is located on the beautiful Mersea Island, 10 miles South of Colchester in North Essex. Overlooking the Blackwater Estuary, Waldegraves has its own private beach which is a mix of sand and shingle.

Whether you have a tent, tourer or motorhome you will be impressed with our touring and camping facilities. Our pitches are highly maintained and have all the space you need to enjoy the great outdoors! Arrival for our pitches is any time after 3pm and departure is any time before 1pm.

There are 5 large non-electric camping fields with many options. You can choose to pitch by the beautiful lake, close to the seafront or even near the fishing lakes. Large groups are welcome, subject to availability. Serviced pitches are designed for any type of tourer, tent or motorhome. They have their own electric hook up points and water points on each pitch. We also have a limited number of hardstanding pitches, which are partially gravel and grass for your convenience.  When booking, please notify us of the size of your tourer, tent or motorhome so that we can allocate you a suitable pitch. The maximum occupancy on our pitches is up to 6 people, 4 people are included in your pitch price.

Visits to Waldegraves can be relaxing or fun packed with plenty to keep all age groups occupied. Family entertainment is available every day throughout the high season with activities both during the day and in the evening. For large group bookings we are able to tailor entertainment to suit our guests if you wish. We have a large Courtyard area at the back of the Barn and Wheatsheaf complete with outdoor bar and stage to house our live entertainment.

There is an outdoor heated swimming pool open May- September which is included in the price of the stay. Golfing facilities include a 10 bay undercover golf driving range, 18 hole grass pitch & putt, 9 hole crazy golf and FootGolf course. There are 4 well stocked coarse fishing lakes on site with well-maintained swims. There are a variety of large fish in the lakes including mirror & common carp, tench, roach, bream sturgeon & gudgeon which will keep any keen fisher happy.

The Wheatgrain Supermarket on the Park is well stocked with locally sourced groceries, snacks, confectionary and off license as well as leisure accessories, fishing tackle and souvenier gifts. The Granary Restaurant offers a superb selection of Hot and Cold meals taking advantage of the masses of quality fresh produce local to Mersea Island. Eat in the superb comfort of the Restaurant or extended area overlooking the Swimming Pool. 

There is ample parking for cars in the main car park with plenty of space for coaches if required. Facilities for coach drivers can be provided including accommodation. Groups are accepted all season with discounts available for large parties outside of the busy season.
