Here, modern European dishes are given a superior British touch. Ingredients are sourced as locally as possible and include Oysters from Mersea Island, Dedham Vale beef, Dingley Dell pork and East Anglian vegetables. Two beautiful rooms, blessed with marvellous natural light and the glint of bespoke Murano chandeliers provide the setting for Afternoon Tea in the Rose Room.
This is a ceremony of indulgence and elegance, with wafer thin sandwiches, the lightest scones with rich strawberry preserve and a selection of unique exotic fancies, entremets and other creations all made by our team of specialist chefs and accompanied by our 5* service. Located on the ground floor, conveniently close to Reception, the Salon is a fine example of meticulously restored C18th elegance. With original panelling, cornicing, fireplace with working gas fire, working shutters and fine Venetian chandeliers, this is a beautiful yet practical room for private dining and meetings. Finished in high gloss bespoke inlaid maple, the table can seat a maximum of 14 people and can be reduced in size to suit smaller parties.
