About

Open daily from 8am-dusk. Customers are encouraged to pay online for car parking using MiPermit. Further information can be found here.

Enjoy over 500 acres of woodland, lakes, meadows, open grassland and spectacular views at Weald Country Park. The park is famous for its wildlife, including fallow deer, cattle, herons, mallard ducks and other water birds. It's also home to the Stick Man play trail.

For a spectacular view, head up to the North of the park and use the Lincolns Lane car park. If you'd like the best hill for rolling down, go to the Belvedere car park. If you'd like to get a hot drink and an ice cream, come to the Visitor Centre car park.

The Stick Man play trail, designed by leading natural play specialists Infinite Playgrounds, brings to life the popular book by Julia Donaldson. The trail has been designed to maintain the historic parkland and its stunning views throughout. We hope that the trail will help children and their families enjoy challenging and imaginative play. It is free to use during park opening hours throughout the year, you pick-up a trail for 50p from the Visitor Centre.

The Visitor Centre includes a shop and café. The shop sells deer and duck food for 50p, gifts like jams and preserves, animal soft toys, bug-hunting kits, insect nets, craft kits and outdoor toys like balls, flying discs and kites. We also sell dog treats, toys and waste bags.

The Wigley Bush Café serves delicious snacks and hot and cold drinks.

Designated cycling paths are well surfaced and circle the woodlands, meadows and lakes.

The bridleway network creates a circular route around the woods and Top Park, with some beautiful views. You can free ride throughout Top Park. Cycle routes are shared with horse riders.

There's plenty of space at Weald Country Park for your dog to run around and get some good exercise. With this in mind, there are have taps and dog bowls throughout the park.

Their volunteer group takes on conservation projects and park maintenance, such as fencing and creating habitats. You can learn skills, meet people and keep fit in beautiful surroundings.
