About
A new art exhibition is being held by the Wulfstan art group at the Maeldune Heritage Centre. The group is a collective of artists that live in and around Maldon. These artists produce varied work, but all share an interest in the natural world around us, including how that world is changing. Climate change, habitat loss and pollution being just a few of those changes. The planet we live on is a beautiful place and it's worth protecting. Not just for ourselves but also the many creatures that share it with us.
The group encompasses a range of ages, and they all try to inspire one another to make work they can be proud of. Every member loves to create art, but it helps to get a bit of a friendly nudge from time to time! The people in this group are there to support each other and that makes all the difference. They hope this exhibition will raise the profile of their artists which is one of their aims as well as getting visitors to the exhibition to discuss the issues affecting our planet.
The artists have currently been focusing on climate change and the elements, so this will be an edifying experience with an immersive launch night, which will take place on Friday 3rd March at 6- 8pm. The launch of this exhibition is going to be the first of many in the area that they will be holding.
