FInchingfield Christmas events 2021 - Flyer

About

Finchingfield’s double gold medal Olympic World BMX Champion, BETHANY SHRIEVER, will switch on Finchingfield’s unique Christmas lighting display this year.

The ‘Big Switch-on’ of the unique middle-of-the pond Christmas tree lights will be between 5.30 and 6pm on Saturday 4th December.

Beth’s star turn will be preceded by a candlelit procession from St John the Baptist's Church with music and the choir of the Royal British Legion and the Great Bardfield Brass Band leading carol singing. Festivities will quickly move on to more live music in the Fox on the Green pub. There is also a rumour that Father Christmas might drop into Finchingfield that evening…..

Christmas in Finchingfield is always special. But, this year it will be more special than ever, with the village bursting back into life after the challenges of last Christmas. The first big activity in the run up to Christmas is the Advent Window Trail with children creating decorations to display in their windows, with a new window being revealed every one of the 24 days up to Christmas.

To complete the village revival there will be a Christmas Market starting at 11am on Saturday 4th December and running through until 5pm on Sunday 5th. There will be a variety of stallholders - food & drink, gifts, crafts and so much more in two locations, behind the Fox on the Green Pub and in the Guildhall.

The Guild is working hard to actively share the magic of Christmas time in Finchingfield with a wide audience and will be running information pages on Instagram and Facebook and on their website which helps visitors choose locations to eat, drink, shop and stay in Finchingfield, depending on their style preference and budget.
