Did you know Alder trees were first planted on our site in 1830 to make charcoal for gunpowder?
During this in-person workshop, children will be encouraged to observe their surroundings and capture the beauty of our wildlife using charcoal.
They will experiment with scraping, smudging, and squiggling charcoal across the page. They will have fun making their own plant life patterns with leaf rubbing. Finally, their last sketch will imagine the landscape of the Mills at night with a moonlit scene.
Don't miss out on this wonderful opportunity for your child to explore their creativity and develop their artistic skills. Register now to secure a spot in our Sketch the Scene! Children's Summer Workshop.
