With its fine acoustic and light and spacious interior it provides a wonderful setting for the annual THAXTED FESTIVAL, with its origins in Gustav Holst's 1916 Whitsun Festival.
Our world class music festival during June and July covers orchestral, chamber, vocal, jazz & folk, early through to contemporary music and all set in Thaxted's magnificent Parish Church in the north-west corner of Essex.
