Tollesbury will be celebrating over the Platinum Jubilee with a variety of festivities and events, beginning with the lighting of the beacon, which will stand in the Victory Recreation Ground, at Elysian Gardens. The evening will start at 21:00 with a bugler, choir and the unveiling of a plaque, followed by the lighting of the beacon by Her Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of Essex, Mrs Jennifer Tolhurst, at 21:45 then fireworks at 22:00.
