About

Cross the Blackwater Estuary onto Mersea Island in Essex and you are in a different world, a world where you can be your best, most carefree self. As you unwind, take time to explore and discover all the hidden gems that the island has to offer, with Mersea Island Holiday Park as your tranquil base. Right next door to Cudmore Grove National Park which has a spectacular private beach, Mersea Island Holiday Park is a paradise for dogs too, and we’re ready to welcome you and your four-legged friends for a holiday to remember, far from the madding crowd.

Facilities

Mersea Island has an indoor heated swimming pool, clubhouse, children's play area, a safe sandy beach, boat launching, well stocked shop and on-site laundry. Children welcome from any age.

Accommodation

There are so many ways to stay at Mersea. From classic and comfortable caravans to our exclusive accommodation options, there’s something to suit your family and budget. Make yourself at home in our Manhattan loft style TriBeCa’s. There are hot tub options too so you can end the day relaxing under the stars. Book our Oyster Cottage with guaranteed hot tub, exclusive to Mersea Island, or stay in The Heartwood with its Scottish baronial interiors and a large bath in the main bedroom. We have one fully accessible caravan at Mersea Island with full ramp access up to the door, wide access kitchen and wet room. The accommodation is a two bedroom and sleeps up to six people. Between 29th July and 4th September, we offer camping on our generous 10m x 10m grass pitches, with access to a toilet and shower block, swimming pool and The Muddy Duck.

Local attractions

Dine on local shellfish, seek out the coloured beach huts or head over to the local vineyard for some of England’s finest wines and gins. With historic Colchester only a short drive away, there is so much to explore that you’ll wonder why you’ve never heard of this hidden gem before.

Once you have discovered Mersea Island and enjoyed the hospitality of our team of Holiday Heroes, we’re sure you’ll want to come back time and time again!
