Situated close to Colchester with thriving high street and a stunning castle, the property is in the heart of the Essex countryside. Take a trip on the Colne Valley Stream Railway, or visit Colchester Zoo, Layer Marney Tower, and the gate house to what would have been Henry VIII royal residence.
No trip to Essex would be complete without a trip to the coast, Frinton on Sea, Clacton or cross the strood to Mersea Island famous for Rock Oysters, great seafood restaurants and sailing. For shopping head to Colchester and Braintree Village shopping outlet. Leisure facilities: fishing is available by arrangement with the owner.
The accommodation offers THREE bedrooms: 1 king-size and 1 twin, on the ground floor and 1 twin on the mezzanine level. Shower room: with shower, WC and washing machine. Lounge/kitchen/diner: with TV/DVD. Kitchen area, with electric oven and hob, fridge, freezer and dishwasher.
Outside: decked area with garden furniture. Amenities: off-road parking. Bed linen, towels, electric, electric heating included. Regret no smoking. 1 dog welcome. Additional info: please note the property is situated on an unfenced lake so care should be taken at all times. Location: pub and shop 2 miles.
Dogs are charged per dog at £30.

Road Directions
The nearest post code (CO6 2PP) will bring you to a van garage called Colne Commercials on the A1124. Before you reach this garage on your left, you will see the entrance to a field with a large grey gate sign posted "Chalkney Water Meadows". Once through the gates come down the track and at the end you will veer around to the right and then head through a small woodland where you will find the cabin.
