Chelmsford Theatre main house and Studio Theatre are situated in the heart of Chelmsford and are the ideal venue in the Chelmsford area to bring your event to whether you are a professional visiting touring company, a dance school, community theatre group or a corporate conference or private function

They offer a range of venues available to hire for productions, private functions and corporate events. All are easily accessible, with only a short walk from the rail and bus stations.

A 504 fixed seat auditorium (Main house) with full technical facilities

A flexible studio space for up to 160 people (Theatre studio) tiered and cabaret seating

With foyer space and bar areas, Chelmsford Theatre offers the perfect venue for seminars, training, exhibition, presentations and performance.

Catering to suit your requirements and budget can also be arranged with the in-house catering team. Anything from tea, coffee, a pay or tab bar to a full buffet can be provided.  A full bar service is available at both theatres. (Please note that food and drink consumed on our premises needs to be provided by the theatres' bars and catering team.)
 
A ticketing service for all events can be provided.
