Join us to explore the daily life of the Anglo-Saxons at a living history camp. Have the chance to witness a battle re-enactment & have a go yourself, take part in Anglo-Saxon themed crafts and activities, and get hands on with archaeological excavation!
Living history camp will include: clothing display, weapons display and demonstration, battle re-enactment, food demonstrations & even the chance to have a go at a battle re-enactment for children under 11!
Other activities included: a sandpit mini-dig, archaeology themed puzzle, and an Anglo-Saxon themed craft activity.

Road Directions
If coming into Southend from the A127 continue following the road past tesco, over the crossroads. At the next roundabout take the 3rd exit onto Victoria Avenue. Priory Park entrance is the first left.
If arriving from Southend, head up Victoria Avenue, turn around at the roundabout(4th exit) and then first left.
Car parking is limited so we recommend walking or public transport.
Public Transport Directions
Arrival into Southend via train: Southend Victoria is the closest train station but Southend Central is easily walkable also.
Approx. 15-20 mins walk from Southend Victoria.
You can get 9, 20, 25, 21 bus routes go up Victoria Avenue and will stop within a couple of minutes walk of Priory Park. The bus station is next to Victoria train station.
