Our Autumn Diesel Gala is a spectacular 3-day event featuring our home fleet, alongside some incredible visiting locomotives which will be put through their paces over some of the most challenging gradients in preservation!
Locomotives featured include:
- Visiting class 25 locomotive, D7659 (25309) courtesy of the Waterman Heritage Trust and Peak Rail
- Home fleet including, 20001, 31438, 37029, 47635, class 03 D.2170 and 08114
- Blue locomotives on blue and grey coaching stock
As usual we will be running a three train intensive service throughout the weekend with late running Real Ale trains on Saturday. All trains will be running in conjunction with our fleet of Heritage buses, which will be operating between Ongar, North Weald, Epping Underground and Shenfield National Rail stations.

Public Transport Directions
For those visiting from London, places further afield and towns to the east of the railway, the quickest and easiest method is to come via London Underground Central Line to Epping (Zone 6), then join our inclusive heritage bus service.
There are several public service bus routes from Harlow, Chelmsford and Epping to Ongar and North Weald. Timetables for all of these are on www.traveline.info. This site also has a useful FREE app for iphone and Android phones. Mobile users can text "traveline" to 84268 for the innovative "NextBus" service direct to your phone.
