About

Colchester's first Roman Festival in the former capital of Roman Britain! Brought to life by two of Britain's top re-enactment groups, The Vicus and Britannia, and a host of other fabulous contributors. Watch battles between Roman soldiers and local tribes, gladiatorial displays, archery and falconry, or enjoy the authentic craft, traders, artisans, educators, and entertainers filling our Romano-British market. Lots for kids to do and a programme of talks and workshops in the Books & Words Tent where major authors who set their work in the Roman world will also be signing their books.
