Edith & Gerson Frydman by Robin Frydman Schall. A virtual talk in association with The Boys exhibition

About

Robin's parents were both Holocaust Survivors. Robin's Mother fled Nazi Germany in 1939 and relocated to London via the Kindertransport at age 14. Robin's father survived several concentration and slave labour camps including Auschwitz, before living in the Loughton Hostel in 1946.

Robin was forbidden from discussing the Holocaust and her parents' experiences while growing up, but since her father passed away in March 2015, she has been researching their past. This talk takes us through the stories she has uncovered. Robin is the American liaison to the 45 Aid Society, an organization started by Holocaust survivors in England, whose missions are Holocaust education and to support survivors. The 45 Aid Society is now being run by the second generation. Robin is currently taking a hiatus from her legal practice to finalise her research.
