About

Enter our churchyard from Chipping Hill and, if you wish, browse the Autumn Fayre stalls as you make your way into the church.

The church dominates Chipping Hill, the ancient heart of Witham, Essex. It is the oldest building in the town, and the most significant
designated heritage asset in the Chipping Hill Conservation Area.

Our gifted musicians will be Hazel Morgan (soprano), Claire James (instrumentalist), Millie Wilson (clarinet) and David Martin, Director of Music (organ). The Kenneth Tickell organ was built in 2002, but the church itself has changed little since it was first built.

St Nicolas Church offers an annual organ scholarship scheme, so this would be a good introduction to anyone interested in applying for the scholarship.

Refreshments, and toilet facilities, will be available all afternoon in the Church Hall which adjoins the churchyard.

This is a family-friendly event, where all ages are welcome.
