About

Essex Waterways is offering special two-hour public cruises along the scenic Chelmer & Blackwater Navigation, with either a buffet-style Ploughman's Lunch with cheese and ham, or a delicious cream tea with Tiptree scones and jam and Rodda's clotted cream. Both options include hot drinks, and there's a fully stocked licensed bar available throughout the cruise.

Twice as long as the regular public cruises, these summer specials offer more time to watch the birdlife along the banks, enjoy the tranquil scenery along the canal and pass through one of the historic lock gates, giving you the opportunity to learn more about the history of the Navigation that was once a vital trade route. Trip reaches as far as Rushes Lock near Ulting, taking in some of the quietest and most wild-life rich stretches of the waterway.

The boat has disabled access and wheelchair accessible toilet.

Please pre-book via phone or email to ensure your place on one of these limited edition trips!
