Vulcan XL426 at London Southend Airport (Glenn Bates)

About

Vulcan XL426 will be blasting down the runway London Southend Airport on Saturday 11 September at our second taxi-run event of the year.

Viewing will be from the the Trust's exclusive visitor area in front of its hangar. This will give an uninterrupted view across the airport and unrivaled photographic opportunities

After speeding down the runway, XL426 will deploy her brake parachute (subject to serviceabiliity). XL426 will then taxi back to the apron area, giving a superb close-up view as the Vulcan taxies in and shuts down her engines.

Gates will open at 11.30 am with the taxi-run taking place at 1.00 pm.

Attendance is limited and tickets are now on sale. Why not join the VRT and take advantage of a discounted adult ticket price?

Due to London Southend Airport rules, children under 12 cannot be admitted.

Teas, coffees and refreshments will be on sale throughout the day. Our Vulcan souvenir stall will be open for anyone wishing to take home a memento of the day.

Should it be necessary to cancel the event for any reason, we will provide full refunds on all ticket purchases. We won't, however, be able to compensate for other costs you or your guests might incur attending the event, such as travelling or hotel costs.

Sorry - no animals allowed except assistance dogs.
