About

Join us for a rural walk from White Notley station. We will meander along quiet country trails and pass an ancient barn. We will never be far away from the pretty river Brain as it winds through this part of Mid Essex. We will trip into parts of the historic Essex Way, well worth a longer walk another time.
Meet at White Notley train station at about 10:30 am. (The 9.59 train from Braintree arrives 10.07 and the 10.26 train from Witham arrives 10.33) Travelling by train is a good option as parking is limited near the train station. We will finish at the train station too. For those who would like coffee or lunch after the walk the local pub, the Cross Keys, is a seven minute walk.
The walk will go ahead whatever the weather. Well-behaved dogs are welcome on the train and on the walk.
Disckaimer: This walk will be led by a volunteer with knowledge of the area and its history. By undertaking the walk you are taking responsibility for your own safety. Allow up to two and a half hours for the walk which is approximately 6 kilometres long.
